Each piece begins from an elemental reference — clouds, storms, the meeting of land and sea — translated into form through wheel-thrown bases and experimental glazing.

The latest piece of the collection is built on a single tension: the placidity of pale blue against the intensity of deep red. Where the two glazes meet they bleed into each other, and a small area of raw, unglazed clay is left open — a tear in the surface that recalls a cloud drifting between the two fields.
